This plant belongs to the Strelicia family, not palm trees. Its leaves grow in a fan shape and it must be overwintered at room temperature. Please water only a little during the winter, but not at all. If you water too much, the trunk will rot. The plant is named “Tree of Travelers” because in ancient times travelers drank the water that accumulated in the trunks.

Before sowing, it is important to first remove the blue layer that surrounds the seeds. To do this, soak the seeds in warm, soapy water for at least a day. Then you can easily peel the blue layer off the seeds.
