Hibiscus seeds

The hibiscus seed family belongs to the mallow family and includes around 600 species. Most occur in tropical to subtropical areas and are not hardy. An exception is e.g. E.g. the giant hibiscus, perennial hibiscus or even winter-hardy hibiscus (Hibiscus moscheutos). This giant hibiscus doesn't mind very low temperatures at all. It freezes back, the above-ground parts die off and every year it grows back out of the ground, lusher and larger.
