The giant hibiscus is suitable for rooms or gardens. The plant is absolutely hardy and blooms in the first year. In winter the above-ground parts die off, but in the following spring the hardy hibiscus sprouts again more vigorously and will bloom more beautifully and lavishly year after year. Of course, this giant hibiscus needs a full sun location and a little natural fertilizer to start the season. It has no special soil requirements. The only thing you have to do is water the plant regularly, the water requirement is high. You should also remove the shoots early, e.g. B. support and tie firmly with Bambi sticks. Once growth begins, the shoots of the hardy hibiscus will break off due to small wind movements.
You can easily cut cuttings from your giant hibiscus, preferably in spring or fall. To do this, cut off an approx. 10 cm long shoot below a leaf node and place it in a glass of water in a partially shaded location. It is important to change the water regularly. This beautiful, hardy hibiscus is really quick to grow from seeds.
